Shainaz’s goal is to spread the Jolly methodology far and wide to remote corners of the world. In an effort towards this objective, she has conducted Jolly trainings in the villages of Nagaland, Ladakh, Meghalaya, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra in India. In her 19 years of a professional career in phonics, Shainaz has trained over 15,000 teachers across the globe, including countries like Cambodia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Oman, Ethiopia, Kenya, UAE and Brunei.

Shainaz has engaged with several state education ministries in India and abroad, including the Ministry of Education in Meghalaya, Nagaland, UT Ladakh, Nepal, Somaliland and Djibouti. Shainaz also undertakes several not-for-profit trainings for teachers at underprivileged schools through multiple national and international NGOs like Akanksha Foundation, Aga Khan Foundation, Tibetan Children’s Village Schools and more.

Shainaz started her Jolly Learning journey in two schools in the UK and later when she returned to India, she started her own exclusive phonics centre called ‘Phonickids’. Phonickids focuses on imparting literacy skills and runs courses for children between the age of 3 to 12 years in Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar. So far, Phonickids has trained over 20,000 children in Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar. With a Masters in Arts, Shainaz is also an accredited Cambridge ESOL Examiner.
